Since April 2020 Othmar Wettmann has been Senior Consultant in the Health & Safety Team of AEH AG, which he headed from 2011 to spring 2020. 

Before that, he was a department head for 24 years and occupational safety expert for 1 year in the occupational safety and health protection division of SUVA. After studying forestry at ETH Zurich, he led the occupational safety advisory service in forestry at Swiss Forestry for 3½ years.

After his studies, Othmar Wettmann obtained certificates from EPF Lausanne in the Cours de formation postgrade SECURITE DU TRAVAIL, the SIU company management diploma from the SIU entrepreneurship course and the 'Certified Project Manager IPMA, Level C' diploma from the IPMA project leader course.

In 2010, he was awarded the Ernst-Günther-Strehlke prize from GEFFA for services to the humanisation of forestry.
