After graduating in Medical Surgery as a Medical Technician from the University of Tor Vergata (Rome), she worked at the University of Tor Vergata in the Medical Oncology Department before returning to her home country to work as a Medical Assistant.

When she arrived in Switzerland, she worked in the insurance sector for about 10 years, changing departments and acquiring knowledge in the field of daily sickness and accident benefit. After various work experiences, she decided to get a federal certificate in social insurance, which she completed in 2014. She worked for three years in the finance department of Coop OE Insurances, where she mainly managed sickness cases for French-speaking Switzerland. Teresa Vonella has many years of experience in handling and assessing complex sickness cases from a medical perspective.

She has a careful and analytical approach and is used to making independent decisions.

Her additional strengths are in the linguistic field, as she has a very good knowledge of German, French and English, in addition to her nativ language Italian, which gives her an advantage in accompanying the relevant clients when working in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
